University Data, Analytics and Institutional Research (UDAIR) brings together analytics expertise, institutional research, governance, and data engineering to support the University of Missouri with trusted data and meaningful insights. Our work helps faculty, staff, analysts, and leaders make informed decisions with clarity and confidence.
We focus on creating a reliable and consistent data environment for all campus users. This includes supporting MU’s transition to a single enterprise reporting platform in Power BI and modernizing the university’s data ecosystem with Microsoft Fabric. Through this transformation, UDAIR strengthens access, improves quality, and enhances the way data is used across the university.

Katie Wilkinson, Ph.D. leads MU’s data, governance, analytics, and institutional reporting strategy. Her work focuses on building a trusted and consistent data environment, supporting analytics across the university, and guiding UM System’s transition to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. She collaborates closely with campus partners to strengthen data quality, support responsible use, and create a modern analytics experience for all users.
UDAIR includes four core units that work closely together:
- UDAIR Analytics builds reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions that translate data into clear, actionable information.
- Institutional Research provides official reporting, compliance submissions, academic planning analyses, and data for institutional leadership.
- Enterprise Data Services manages cloud data pipelines, integrations, and the semantic layer that ensures analytics-ready data for campus.
- The Office of the Chief Data Officer leads governance, policy, stewardship, and strategic direction for MU’s data environment.
Together, these teams create a unified data foundation for the campus. Whether someone is exploring data for the first time or building advanced analytics, UDAIR serves as a partner in understanding, accessing, and using data effectively.
